Temple fuel at all-time high
Diesel near $5 mark and and gas is 1/1000th of a cent from a new record
Diesel prices reached an all-time high of $4.957 in Temple this morning and gasoline is just a tick away from a new record.
A gallon of regular-grade gasoline was $3.981 per gallon this morning — the all-time high in Temple is $3.982 set July 16, 2008.
State and national averages also have set new record highs this weekend for both regular-grade gas and diesel.
The national average for gas is $4.331 and $5.15 for diesel. The state average is $4.005 for gas, which is actually down a bit from Friday’s record-breaking $4.011. Diesel set a new high-mark today of $4.93.
According to AAA Texas, 59 percent of Americans are making lifestyle changes because of the soaring fuel prices.
